The diameter of the screw is a little smaller than the inner diameter of the steel sleeve, that is, there should be a gap between the screw rod and the steel sleeve inner surface, and the gap generally is 0.002 to 0.004 times as screw diameter. If the gap is too small, the screw will abrade or even stuck. On the other hand, if the gap is too large, the backflow of the feed will influence the extrusion output, lower production efficiency, and even affect the product quality.
