Bimetallic screw & barrel Details
Good corrosion resistance, mixing effect, and dispersion.
The bimetallic technique used in bimetallic screws and barrels is a frequently-used, corrosion resistant, and abrasion resistant technique. It uses HVOF high-speed spraying equipment to plasma spray the screw surface to achieve compact bimetallic screw. Bimetallic barrel uses casting method, casting the barrel body with tungsten carbide alloy, then use special technique to mold.
The inner wall of the bimetallic barrel is spray welded with a layer of 1 to 2 mm thick abrasion resistant, corrosion resistant, and heat resistant alloy, its lifespan is largely extended compared to nitrided barrel. For processing formulas with high PVC calcium powder volume and for extending lifespan, bimetallic has evident superiority.
Our company produced bimetallic barrel screw is spray welded with alloy powder on the rod and arris. According to different screws used for different purposes, different alloy and welding methods can be used.
